About Katy

Katy Ho is a Chinese-Canadian writer, poet, and activist who is leading the feminist media revolution.

As a daughter of refugees, she cares passionately about using her words, artistry, and influence to advocate for gender equity, climate justice, and human rights. Currently, Katy is closing the gender media gap through her work at the Environmental Media Association, which promotes environmental storytelling in the entertainment industry, and FEMINIST, the world’s largest digital platform for intersectional feminism. Through her writing, Katy reaches audiences of over 6 million people with feminist news stories, celebrity/activist interviews, and coverage of major world events including the Olympics, the Grammy Awards, the Oscars, Paris Fashion Week, TED, and the 2024 US election.

She is currently working to build Canada’s leading changemakers’ community, which will launch at the end of 2025.
